Why learn to fly?
Flying is one of the most rewarding endeavors you will undertake in your lifetime. In and of itself, it is worthwhile. With your fresh pilot certificate in hand, you'll find new destinations to visit, give nephew Nathaniel and aunt Gertie their first airplane rides, enjoy weekends flying out for $50 hamburgers, and spend priceless evenings with your wife, husband, or sweetheart, cruising through smooth air near your home field, watching the golden sunset fade to dusk.

Typical cost for a 55 hour program leading to a Private Pilot license will be approximately $ 6400 to $ 7000 all expenses included.
Learn to fly in an honest airplane, with 125 kt cruise, and the ability to carry 4 passengers.
After completion of the program, the aircraft can be rented at $100/hour wet rate. (includes fuel).
An Instrument rating takes approximately 40 hours, of which 15 hours is dual instruction.  This will typically cost around $4450.
Although the plane is based at Deer Valley, arrangements can be worked to bring the plane to you.  For example, if the closest airport to you is Falcon Field, in Mesa, AZ., I can bring the plane there for your lessons.
INSTRUMENT PILOTS AND INSTRUMENT STUDENTS!!
Learn the latest GPS, and WAAS GPS approaches in this aircraft.  The panel has been recently revamped to include an IFR approach certified Garmin GNS480, and an IFR approach certified Garmin 155XL, as well as a Garmin SL-30 NavCom, and a Garmin 327 transponder.  Very few, if any, training aircraft in this area have WAAS/GPS capability.  I do, so let's get together!

"IF YOU ONLY WANT TO BECOME AN AIRLINE PILOT -- GO TO AN AIRLINE PREP SCHOOL AND THEY WILL SHOW YOU HOW TO PUSH BUTTONS. "

-John Wickup, Chandler Air Service

These days, with the airline pilot shortage increasing, there is a lot of advertising telling you the things you want to hear. There are schools best described as "airplane driver mills". These schools cut corners, and as a result, turn out pilots with very little experience for quite a lot of money.

You should be able to fly with skill brought about by understanding what you are doing. You should be a "pilot", not an "airplane driver", or a button pusher. With over 13,000 hours of flying and 1500 hours of instruction given, I believe I can teach you to fly, with a greater understanding of exactly what is occurring during each phase of flight.

You will not be an airplane driver or an airline pilot when you finish my program. However, you will be a pilot with the skill and understanding to proceed into the next level of flying.
